Arif Ayyubov is a managing partner with the firm. Prior to joining BONAFIDE, Arif held various senior positions in several Azerbaijani state bodies, including positions of a prosecutor at the Prosecutor General’s Office and a court clerk at the Baku Appeal Court.
Arif specializes in criminal law, tax law, labor law, pensions, anti-corruption, corporate and commercial law. He routinely advises the clients on the issues of establishment, restructuring and governing of legal entities, customs clearance, AML matters, criminal liability of legal entities, taxation, employment disputes, etc.
Arif is a member of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan and is permitted to represent clients in all court proceedings, including the Supreme Court and Constitutional Court.
He is also a member of the Appellate Arbitration Tribunal of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) and a member of the working group on “Improvement of the Civil Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan” under Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Arif holds bachelor’s degree in Law from Public Administration Academy under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and master’s degree in Constitutional Law from Baku State University. He completed his LL.M. studies at the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) in Austria.
